MAYVILLE -- Senior Karagan Fairbank had 35 assists, including the 2,000th of her career, as Chautauqua Lake defeated Southwestern 25-16, 25-15, 25-16 in nonleague girls volleyball Thursday.
Alice Scarpine eight kills and eight digs; Kinslee Motter had 10 kills and three blocks; and Brina Jacobson had 15 kills and eight digs for the Eagles (4-0).
The Trojans fell to 2-3 overall
Chautauqua Lake also won the jayvee matchup.
PANTHERS SWEEP ELLICOTTVILLE
ELLICOTTVILLE -- Gowanda swept Ellicottville 25-12, 25-14, 25-9 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 action.
The Panthers improved to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the league.
Riley Whitmer led the Eagles (3-5, 1-4) with eight kills to go along with 10 digs; Briyona Tarr had 10 assists and three digs; and Marlee Maynard had 13 digs.
JACKSON, KINAL LEAD CLYMER
PANAMA -- Mikaela Jackson had nine kills and nine digs while Keira Kinal added nine kills, two digs and three aces as Clymer defeated Panama 25-22, 25-20, 25-13 in nonleague play.
Harleigh Faulkner had three kills, an assist, a block and seven digs; Matilyn Rhines had four kills, two blocks, five digs and two aces; Maiya Dunnewold had 26 assists, six digs and two aces; and Finley Mitchell had two kills, five blocks, nine digs and two aces for the Pirates (4-1).
Caitlyn Straight had two kills, four blocks and two aces; McKenna Kolstee had six kills, five blocks and seven digs; and Annie Becker had 16 assists and nine digs for the Panthers (2-3).
Panama won the jayvee matchup.
GABLE, EMORY SHINE FOR SHERMAN
SHERMAN -- Carlie Gable had six kills and two aces while Madison Emory had six kills and one ace as Sherman defeated nonleague Brocton 25-23, 25-15, 18-25, 25-14.
Jayne Chambers had four kills and three blocks, and Caylee Pinzok had six aces for the Wildcats (2-3).
For the Bulldogs (2-5), Paige Miller had 11 assists, eight kills, two digs and an ace; Sha'Nah Adams had 11 assists, eight kills, five digs, three aces and a block; Neveah Hebner had 12 digs and an ace; and Mia Delcamp had four kills, a dig and an ace.
Brocton won the jayvee matchup.
WILMOT POWERS HILLBILLIES
FREDONIA -- Londyn Wilmot had 17 kills, four digs and four blocks as Fredonia swept Falconer 29-27, 25-15, 25-15 in Division 1 play.
Elly Saunders had 11 kills; Alyse Bugaj had an ace and 30 assists; Maddie Krakowiak had eight kills and an ace; and Isabella Buckley had four aces and seven digs for the Hillbillies (3-2, 3-1).
Reagan Trask had 17 assists, seven digs and two aces; Skyler Norlander had five kills; Elayna Barber had 12 digs; and Kaylee Green had four kills, nine digs and three blocks for the Golden Falcons (1-6, 1-4).
