Bears score twice late to beat Silver Creek/Forestville

SILVER CREEK -- Gavin Weaver scored from Jayden Burch with less than 15 minutes remaining to break 2-2 tie as Frewsburg beat Silver Creek/Forestville 4-2 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division III boys soccer Monday.
Isaac Hultberg scored on a header from Burch with just over five minutes left to ice the game.
Gavin Kent opened the scoring from Peter Pasieka for the Bears (2-4-0, 1-2-0), but the Black Knights (2-4-0, 1-3-0) answered with Alan Hoelzle's goal in the eighth minute. Lucas Randolph gave Frewsburg a 2-1 lead entering halftime with his goal in the 23rd minute.
After the break, Ryan Cook tied the game for Silver Creek/Forestville on a penalty kick in the 53rd minute before Weaver's tiebreaking tally.
Colin Sweat made five saves for the Bears and Aaron Cook made four saves for the Black Knights.
DUNKIRK TIES HUSKIES 2-2
DUNKIRK -- Dunkirk played to a 2-2 tie with Olean in Division I action.
Roan Porpiglia scored from Brady Dobek and Lucas Felt also scored on a penalty kick for the Marauders (1-5-1, 0-3-1).
Evan Dolce made three saves in net for Dunkirk.
Murphy Dutton made eight saves for the Huskies (2-3-2, 1-2-1).
WESTFIELD -- Braylon Swanson had three goals and an assist to power Westfield/Brocton past Chautauqua Lake 6-2 in Division III action.
Swanson scored from Landon VandeVelde in the 11th minute, Parker Gambino in the 34th minute and Ayden Reese in the 46th minute. The junior also assisted on Caleb Stoughton's goal in the 50th minute. The Wolverines' other goals were Stoughton from Caleb Freifeld in the 37th minute and Dawson Gambino from Parker Gambino in the 69th minute.
Nolan Anderson made five saves in net for Westfield/Brocton (7-0-0, 4-0-0).
Landon Emery made 11 saves for Chautauqua Lake (2-3-1, 1-1-1).
RANDOLPH BLANKS PINE VALLEY/GOWANDA
SOUTH DAYTON -- Randolph led 4-0 at halftime en route to a 6-0 shutout of Pine Valley/Gowanda in Division II.
Gavin Senn scored from Isaac Pihlblad in the 15th minute, Preston Eccles tallied from Aydan Eccles in the 20th minute, Pihlblad scored from Grady Steward in the 25th minute and Aydan Eccles tallied from Cypress Milks in the 35th minute for the Cardinals (4-3-1, 3-1-0).
After the break, Pihlblad scored from Nathan Zink and Aydan Eccles scored from Pihlblad.
Randy Nottingham and Gavin Senn split the clean sheet, but did not face a shot in Randolph's net.
For the Panthers (0-6-0, 0-3-0), Mark Smallback made six saves.
NORTH COLLINS TAKES TITLE PREVIEW
NORTH COLLINS -- Neven Sheehy scored from Karter Bartholomew in the 32nd minute as North Collins blanked Maple Grove 1-0 in Division III action.
Blake Schlenker made four saves en route to the clean sheet for the Eagles (2-1-2, 1-1-1).
Aiden Dahlberg made three saves for the Red Dragons (1-3-1, 1-2-0).
The teams will meet again Oct. 7 and then, as the lone Class D teams in Section VI, will meet for a sectional crown Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Allegany-Limestone.
CHUDY NETS A PAIR FOR WARRIORS
SALAMANCA -- Easton Chudy scored twice to lead Salamanca past Cassadaga Valley/Falconer 3-1 in Division II play.
Andrew McCormick scored from Calum Farnum in the 47th minute and Chudy scored from Farnum in the 57th minute before Chudy's final goal.
Cayden Lafferty made eight saves in net for the Warriors (4-3-0, 2-2-0).
Jakob Huling scored for the Golden Cougars (1-5-1, 1-3-1).
