RANDOLPH -- Cardinal Hills Golf Course hosted the 2026 Bettie Alexander Classic on Aug. 6. Eighty-two women played in the two-person best-ball format. The tournament paid out over $2,000 in cash prizes.
The winning scratch team with a score of 78 was Judy Mowery and Liz Lerow. Second place was Daryl Wadsworth and Sierra Beaver with a 79. Third place was Becky Carlson and Julie Brown with an 81, via matching of cards over Courtney Rappole and Colleen Reeve. Barb Hill and Sharon Birtcil were fifth with an 82.
In the Net Division, the winning team with a net score of 59 was Patti Searle and Haley Germaine. Second place, with a score of 62, were Sue Rebmann and Terri Rosier. Third place with a net score of 63, were Alecia Spontaneo and Lauren Fiorella. Fourth place was Lois Piscitelli and Cheryl Hill with a 65. Rita Dunlap and Dawn Lai were fifth with a 66.
Closest to the pin on No. 9 was Colleen Reeve. Closest to the pin on No. 11 was Carolyn Shields. The longest drive on No. 15 was Katrinah Bretl and the longest drive on No. 6 was Becky Carlson.
Tournament coordinators Hilary Wadsworth and Daryl Wadsworth would like to thank bag attendants Braxton and Brayden Beaver, Simon Philblad, and the scoring team of Monty Shields, John Gurzinski and Stosh Gurzinski.
Next year's tournament is scheduled for July 29.
