Modified Mafia Tour to cap August slate at Stateline

By DANIEL NELLIGAN 2 min read

BUSTI -- Mother Nature played nice for the majority of the season, but the month of August has brought a string of weather-related interruptions to the Saturday night action at Stateline Speedway. Despite the recent rainouts, the Busti oval is gearing up to close out the month in a major way as the Modified Mafia Tour, presented by AFAB Sales, makes its highly anticipated second-ever stop at the facility.

MODIFIED MAFIA TOUR RETURNS

The regional touring invaders will have their hands full as they attempt to conquer the historic dirt oval. During last year's inaugural Mod Mafia Tour visit, local standout "Money" Mike McGee successfully defended his home turf, holding off the invaders to capture the victory. The touring modified stars will be joined by a full, action-packed card featuring all of Stateline Speedway's favorite weekly divisions.

SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS

With the recent rainout washing away the highly anticipated Free Night and backpack giveaways, track officials have officially rescheduled the massive promotion for Saturday, Sept. 5. This move guarantees that the final points-paying night of the Stateline Speedway season will feature free grandstand admission for all fans.

Unfortunately, the scheduling crunch caused by the recent weather has forced the cancellation of the Queen of the Hill and Mechanics races for the current season. Both fan-favorite events have been officially scratched from the slate and will return to the schedule for the 2027 campaign.

CHAMPIONSHIP BATTLES

With only two points-paying race nights remaining on the calendar, the pressure is at an all-time high. The track championships will all come down to these next two crucial Saturdays, featuring some of the tightest and most hotly contested points battles in recent Stateline Speedway memory.
