The 2026 Diamond Dawgs 11U travel baseball team recently competed in the Hot Corner Classic at the Ripken Experience in Aberdeen, Md. The Dawgs played four games over four days at the complex on replica fields of PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Wrigley Field in Chicago and Citi Field in New York. The team is made up of 11-year-old players from Chautauqua County. They finished their season in Aberdeen with a record of 28-16-1, including three first-place finishes and three runners-up out of 11 tournaments in areas including Cleveland, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Buffalo and Erie, Pennsylvania. The Dawgs will be playing at Cooperstown Dreams Park in 2027 and are holding tryouts for next season this Sunday at 2 p.m. in Frewsburg.
