Chance of rain today and air quality conditions from the wildfires have forced postponements and/or cancellations of several local sporting events this weekend.

They include Friday’s Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League game pitting Jamestown against Newark; today’s Bemus Point 3-on-3 basketball tournament; and tonight’s racing, including the Modified Mafia Tour, at Stateline Speedway.

All the games in the 3-on-3 tournament will be played Sunday instead; and the Stateline event has been moved to Aug. 29. The Tarp Skunks, meanwhile, will be back in action Sunday when they entertain Geneva at 4 p.m.
