Flyers Gymnastics had two of its gymnasts qualify to regionals via their state meets this season. Level 6 Kamille Garza qualified from her state-meet all-around score of 37.00 in Stony Brook in March. In Xcel Platinum, Olivia Swanson qualified from her state meet with an all-around score of 36.90 in Syracuse in April. Both girls had to score in the top percentage with their all-around scores out of hundreds of girls competing at states in their respective levels.

Garza’s regional meet was in Springfield, Massachusetts, and Swanson’s meet was in Ashburnham, Massachusetts. They competed against other gymnasts from Rhode Island, New Hampshire, New York, Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont. Garza brought home a second-place silver regional medal on bars scoring a 9.5 and finished with an all-around score of 36.15 in the Senior B age group. Swanson earned a fifth-place regional medal on floor scoring a 9.475 and finished with an all-around score of 36.725.
