PANAMA — The Basketball Camp of the Southern Tier at Panama Central School recently honored several competition champions on the final day of camp.

More than 80 girls entering grade 4-9 attended this year’s camp. The camp was run for the fourth year by Panama varsity girls basketball coach Chris Dole, who was assisted by coaches with extensive college, high school, and AAU coaching experience, and current and former female college and high school varsity basketball players. For about 25 years, the camp was run by Loren Smith.

Following are the camp champions:

— Bailey Burnett (Junior Varsity Division) and Sophia Schroek (Varsity Division) won the 1-on-1 competition.

— Bailey Burnett/Kendall Dankovich (Junior Varsity Division) and Katelyn Hosmer/Adalyn Lindsey (Varsity Division) won the 2-on-2 competition.

— Bailey Burnett/Jacquelin Pisko/Laikan Bennink (Junior Varsity Division) and Oakley Smith/Parker Cooney/Emma Landy (Varsity Division) won the 3-on-3 competition.

— The UConn team consisting of Kaitlyn Hosmer, Hannah Cook, Parker Cooney, Reagan Anderson, Riley Rosage, Bailey Burnett, Kendal Dankovich, Hayden Weise, Stella Gould and Kaylee Landy won the 5-on-5 Championship. The UConn team was coached by Tanleigh Bestine.

— Hadley Peterson (Junior Varsity Division) and Greta Gilevski (Varsity Division) won the Rapid Fire competition.

— Lila Kitchell (Junior Varsity Division) and Adalyn Reese (Varsity Division) won the free-throw competition.

— Phoebe Wolcott (Junior Varsity Division) and Natalie Briggs (Varsity Division) were named Most Improved.

— Stella Mazgaj, Kendall Dankovich, Ry-Lea Irwin, Charlie Bird, Greta Gilevski, Paesyn Liddell, Charlotte Dent and Grace Musee were named to the Sportsmanship Team.
