Noah Nelson went 3 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored; Aiden Rhinehart had two hits and a run scored; and Andrew Youngberg and Ayden Faulkner each singled and drove in a run for Falconer (4-0). Nelson threw five innings of six-hit ball with 11 strikeouts before Lucas Arrance got the final three outs on the mound.

For Southwestern (2-1), Gianni Scholeno and Jackson Troutman each doubled while Mason Brown drove in a pair of runs. Carter Ray, Mason Winchester and Matthew Cama combined for six strikeouts on the mound.

FREDONIA 11, MAYVILLE 0

MAYVILLE – Fredonia improved to 4-0 and wrapped up the No. 1 seed in the District 38 Area A 10-12 Little League All-Stars tournament with an 11-0 shutout of Mayville on Monday.

Bruno Muscarella and Dominic Carapella combined on a four-inning one-hitter with five strikeouts and one walk on the mound for Fredonia, which scored five runs in the second inning, three in the third and three in the fourth.

Mason Switzer went 2 for 2 with a pair of doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored; Carapella had two hits, including a double, an RBI and a run scored; Carter Long had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs; Colton Marsh had two hits, including a double, two RBIs and two runs scored; and Rocco Bongiovanni had two hits, two RBIs and a run scored for Fredonia (4-0).

Lincoln Hanson and Kaven Gilbert-Barr each singled for Mayville (2-2).
