DUNKIRK — Sydnee Hoffman shot 5-over at the par-36 course at Shorewood Country Club for the medalist honors in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association girls golf action Monday.

Hoffman’s 41 paced Fredonia to a 29.5-25.5 victory over Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove. Jocelyn Wintersteen was right behind Hoffman with a 42 for Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove (5-2), while Gianna Novelli added a 50 for Fredonia (5-1).

JAMESTOWN — Lauren Yagger fired the low round of 48 to earn medalist honors in CCAA action at Moonbrook Country Club.

Southwestern’s Elise Kartesz and Jamestown’s Mara Strickland both fired a 55, but it was the Trojans collecting a 31-24 win over Jamestown and 35-20 win against Falconer. The Red & Green defeated the Golden Falcons 33-22.

Yagger led the field for Falconer (0-5, 0-5) with her 48, Alyssa Cusimano added a 56 for Jamestown (3-2, 3-2) and Reagan Stutzman shot 60 for Southwestern (4-4, 3-4).
