Frontier Knocks Off Jamestown

Three pitchers combined on a four-hitter as Frontier knocked off Jamestown 14-3 in an Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 baseball game Tuesday at Diethrick Park.

The Falcons opened up an early 6-0 lead, which was more than enough as they raised their record to 8-11 overall and 4-8 in the division. Jamestown finished the regular season 5-13 and 2-10.

Ethan Hediger (double and triple), Kaden Murphy (two doubles) and Jonny Williams (double) all had two hits for Frontier.

Julian Jackson (double), Alex Alvira (double), Ryan Engquist and Eligh DeLeon accounted for the Red & Green’s hits.

GOWANDA — Kyan Austin collected three hits and had two RBIs, and Drew Kota and Seth Geiger drove in three runs apiece to send Gowanda to a 15-5 five-inning victory over Dunkirk in a nonleague game.

Winning pitcher Carter Capozzi drilled a pair of doubles; Drew Kota smacked a triple, and Tristin Luther and Jayden Fish both had two-baggers for the Panthers (15-3), who put the game away early with a 10-run first inning.

For the Marauders (10-6), Dylan Ott belted a home run, Anthony Cosme had two hits and Anthony Piede added a double.

BENJAMIN SHINES

ELLICOTTVILLE — Parker John collected three hits, including a double, and drove in four runs to back a one-hitter by Rylan Benjamin, leading Ellicottville to an 11-1 five-inning win over North Collins in a Division 3 game.

AJ Myers (three RBIs) and Grayson Neal had two hits apiece, and Benjamin, who struck out eight and walked one, chipped in a double for the Eagles (11-6, 8-6).

For North Collins (4-14, 4-10), Vincent Montaldi had the lone hit.
