Fredonia Scores 11 TDs In 74-0 Victory Over Dunkirk
FREDONIA — Eleven touchdowns were scored by six different players as Fredonia beat rival Dunkirk 74-0 in Division 4 flag football Saturday at the Orange Bowl.
Sophia Utegg accounted for five touchdowns for the Hillbillies (11-1, 4-1). She went 4 of 7 for 44 yards and three touchdowns through the air while also rushing six times for 56 yards and two scores on the ground.
Emma Perry ran nine times for 108 yards and three touchdowns; Juliana Snyder ran six times for 41 yards and a touchdown; and Peyton Krenzer picked up 24 yards on four carries.
Megan Ivory caught three passes for 36 yards and two touchdowns; Alexa Hennessey caught five passes for 50 yards and two touchdowns; and Madelyn Polhamus caught a 21-yard touchdown in the win.
Defensively, Ivory had eight flag pulls, including seven for losses and five sacks, to go along with a pass defended. Avery Trippi also had eight flag pulls, including five for losses and two sacks. Snyder had eight flag pulls, including one for a loss, and intercepted a pass.
Utegg ran in three conversions and threw three with Nora Polhamus catching two.
The Marauders fell to 0-5 overall and 0-4 in the division.
