Southwestern senior Carmine Calimeri was presented with The Knuutila Family Award at the Ilio DiPaolo Scholarship Fund on Tuesday night in Blasdell. Nine wrestlers from Western New York were honored with the qualities of family, education, athletics and community in mind. Since the Ilio DiPaolo Scholarship Fund began, over $1.5 million has been raised to reward the future leaders of tomorrow through scholarships and to support those in need in the community.
