LITTLE RIVER, S.C. — The Southwestern girls softball team earned its first ever victory in Myrtle Beach on Wednesday, defeating Bishop Ireton from Alexandria, Virginia in the Grand Strand Softball Classic 11-8.

Arianna Silakowski paced the Trojans from the circle and at the plate going the whole game and recording six strikeouts while stroking a double and scoring four times. Leala Carlson went 2 for 3 for Southwestern and scored three runs, while Addison Shaw hit 2 for 2 with 3 RBIs.

The Trojans are back in action today against Bamberg-Earhardt out of Bamberg, South Carolina.
