Payton Gibbs ran for a 1-yard touchdown and threw for a 7-yarder as Jamestown beat Hutch Tech 12-0 in Division 1 flag football Thursday at Strider Field.

After an opening-drive stop defensively, Gibbs returned a punt 37 yards to set the Red & Green up with a short field. After Kinsley Berg and Kiarelis Brito ran Jamestown to the 1-yard line, Gibbs burst through for a score.

On the Red & Green’s next drive, Berg ran a jet sweep to the 10-yard line and, later in the drive, Gibbs threw a touchdown pass to Arianna Stone.

Brito finished with seven flag pulls while JaLeiya Glover had four flag pulls and four pass breakups.

Gibbs had two interceptions and Abbee Brandow added an interception.

Addison Cappalino had four flag pulls and two sacks.

Jamestown (3-5, 2-2) plays at nonleague Dunkirk on Saturday at 10 a.m.
