Jamestown took on defending-state-champion Pioneer on Thursday in a nonleague flag football game at Strider Field.

“They were pretty good,” Red & Green head coach Steve Propheter said.

The Panthers showed just how good as they defeated Jamestown 33-0.

Kinsley Berg led the way on both sides of the ball for the Red & Green (1-2), rushing for 30 yards on seven carries, catching five passes for 33 yards, recording four flag pulls, breaking up two passes and intercepting one.

Teammate Marcia McIntyre rushed for 33 yards on 13 carries; completed 7 of 15 passes for 56 yards and was picked off twice; and Payton Gibbs had two receptions for 23 yards.

Defensively, Kiarelis Brito and JaLeyia Glover both had seven flag pulls, Sydney Conti had six flag pulls and Gibbs added five flag pulls and one pass breakup.

The Red & Green’s next game is April 14 at West Seneca.

Starting at $3.50/week.
