After splitting the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 crown, Southwestern and Salamanca have also split their league’s major awards.
Trojans eighth-grader Gianna Sirianni was named the league’s Player of the Year while the Warriors’ Joe Hinman was named the Coach of the Year.
Sirianni led a trio of Southwestern girls on the league’s First Team after averaging 16.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.4 steals and 5.0 assists per game. Trojans sophomore Charlotte Beaver (12.5 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 2.7 spg, 1.7 apg) and junior teammate Marlana Cresanti (11.9 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 6.2 spg, 3.1 apg) were also named to the First Team.
Sophomore Maliyah Foster was Salamanca’s lone First-Team representative after averaging 8.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.7 assists per game.
Olean junior Alaina Hirliman (14.8 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 1.3 spg, 0.9 apg) and Allegany-Limestone senior Maddie Kahm (10.2 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.5 spg, 0.7 apg) rounded out the First Team.

Salamanca had a trio of players named to the Second Team in sophomore Kynleigh Wass, senior Makenzie Crouse and freshman Ella Crouse. Fredonia junior Isabella Buckley, Falconer junior Ellyson Baglia and Allegany-Limestone junior Mya Hayes rounded out the Second Team.
Fredonia earned the Team Sportsmanship Award with Sophia Burrows the Hillbillies Individual Sportsmanship Award winner.
Other Individual Sportsmanship Award winners were: the Gators’ Hayes, Dunkirk’s Chelsey Tramuto, Falconer’s Rachael Swanson, Olean’s Mia Jones, Salamanca’s Addison Earley and the Trojans’ Cresanti.
