Week 3 of the Northwest Arena Spring Curling League sponsored by Dot’s Gift Boutique proved to be electrifying with upsets across the board.

BUD LIGHT MONDAY

5:45 LEAGUE

Daryl Damcott and Head for the Mountains are making their case for title contenders. The defense shined in battles with Kubota Krew 16-15 and Curling Hares 26-24.

Justin Axelson and Madison Clapper assembled the best outing for The A-Team so far. They picked up a sweep by knocking off Cold Beer Here 35-32 and Drunken Sliders 39-37.

GWS tallied their first and second mark in the win column this week. Trish McClennan and Stef Trusso steered the ship to beat Curling Hares 32-30 and Better Than Last Year 28-21.

Zach Muntz and Cold Beer Here are still in the captain’s chair after defeating Fruit of the Brooms 38-27.

Dave Mays and Fruit of the Brooms bested MARKSMEN 45-42.

Kubota Krew held off a late push from Gemstones 40-37 behind Kari Degnan.

Sheila Myers and Gemstones dispatched Curling Cousins 49-27 the next time out.

Henry Whiteman and Curling Cousins shocked We Love Beer 27-26 in an overtime classic.

Justin Kell and We Love Beer rebounded to put away Drunken Sliders 41-36.

Jody Lehman piloted Better Than Last Year to a 31-25 win against Sled Shed Stoners.

Brian Collins flourished down the stretch for Sled Shed Stoners versus MARKSMEN 30-29.

6:40 LEAGUE

Brain Westerdahl, Denton Holthouse and Bottomland Bandits clocked out with another impressive performance. It wasn’t easy, but they survived two close calls with Monday C’s 40-39 and Slice Mafia 27-24.

Wayne Atkin put Chillbillies on his back to move past In the House 28-27 and Rookies Mafia 34-29.

Cliff Sleasman and Adolph Avery put Rand Machine back on track in a sweep of The Flintstones 26-22 and Frozen Assets 33-31.

Cindy and Cathy Panebianco highlighted the evening for Perfect Stones. After storming back to take down Carry on Wayward Stone 33-31, they wrote off Hillbilly Sliders 35-25.

Ron Pappalardo and In the House boosted their strength of victory by topping Stuart Curl or Die 38-29.

Casey Digialarmo and Stuart Curl or Die avoided a winless evening by escaping Slice Mafia 19-17.

Kathy Sullivan proved to be too much for Carry on Wayward Stone to handle, a 35-25 victory for Rookies Mafia in the books.

Brendon Rowe put on a showstopping display for Monday C’s as they put The Flintstones to bed 31-27.

Hillbilly Sliders rallied around Randy Felton in the final few ends to conquer Las Rocas Grandes 30-27.

Kathy Stedman and Las Rocas Grandes made headlines by getting their first win against Frozen Assets 34-30.
