Several To Be Honored As CSHOF Banquet

The Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame will enshrine eight individuals at its 44th annual Induction Banquet on Monday, Feb. 16 at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club.

The inductees are Kenny Betts, Jennifer Giebner Donato, Karl Englert Jr, Brianne Prince Hazelton, Trevor Hitchcock, Brian Hull, Kerry Kellogg and Dan Wolfe.

In addition, 17 individuals and a team will be recognized and honored for their achievements.

Southwestern’s Emma Lewis and Maple Grove’s Ethan Verbosky will be honored for being named first-team all-state cross country runners.

Frewsburg’s Chase Haglund and Brocton’s Anthony Gatto were named first-team all-state in baseball.

Kristi Mets will be honored as an IPL world powerlifting three-time gold medalist.

Southwestern/Frewsburg’s Bradyn Fuller, Zack Markham and Roger Markham, Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton’s Asher Olson and Carson Fairbank, Clymer/Sherman/Panama’s Matt Redlecki and Gowanda/Pine Valley’s Winter Mentley-Peters will be recognized as first-team all-state football players.

SUNY Brockport’s Julian McGaughy will be honored as a D3football.com all-american.

Chautauqua Lakers Special Olympics softball team will be recognized as the gold medalists at the 2025 New York State Fall Games.

Chautauqua Lakers Special Olympians Ray Fuller and Jean Spruce will be honored as gold medalists at the Fall Games.

Rayven Sample will be recognized for winning gold medals in the 100 meters and 400 meters at the USATF Para National Championships.

SUNY Fredonia’s Stephen Hallberg will be recognized after winning the 2025 SUNYAC men’s cross country title.
