Nichols Rallies Past Red & Green
BUFFALO — For a half, it was all going so well for Jamestown on Saturday night at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute gym.
Playing Nichols in the nightcap of the Centercourt Classic, the Red & Green led 40-22, seemingly on their way to victory against one of Western New York’s top teams.
Then the second half happened.
Nichols outscored Jamestown 43-21 after the break to post a stunning 65-61 comeback victory.
Leading the way for the Vikings were Tre Paulfrey and Mitchell Masiello, who both scored 22 points. They were especially deadly during the second-half rally as they combined for 31 points to help boost their team’s record to 15-3.
The Red & Green (9-4) were paced by Dominic Gonzalez with 25 points and Elijah Farmer with 18. Farmer also grabbed 13 rebounds, while Gonzalez had five boards and four assists.
Jamestown returns to action today when it travels to Frontier.

SOUTH DAYTON — Behind 30 points from William Duliba and 16 from Jacob Anders, Forestville rolled to a 63-27 victory over Pine Valley in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 4 game.
Patrick Reilly had seven rebounds, six assists, three steals and three blocked shots; Manny Sanchez had five rebounds, five assists and two steals; Blake Waterman grabbed seven rebounds; and Duliba had six steals for the Hornets (9-4, 5-1).
James Greene paced the Panthers (2-14, 2-4) with 21 points.

WESTFIELD — Global Concepts led 18-7 after the first quarter and 39-19 at halftime en route to a 59-43 nonleague win over Westfield on Sunday.
Eric Davis Jr. led the Gators (11-2) with 19 points and Jose Castro Jr. had 13.
Grant Beadle had 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Wolverines (9-7), who got no closer than 12 in the fourth quarter. Brayden Paddock had 11 points, three steals and two assists while Braylon Swanson had 10 points, five assists, four rebounds and two steals.
