Westfield Holds Off Maple Grove In D2

Grant Beadle scored a game-high 19 points to go along with 13 rebounds and three blocked shots to lift the Westfield boys basketball team past Maple Grove 61-57 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 action Monday night.
Nolan Anderson added another 12 points and eight rebounds while Braylon Swanson scored 11 points to go along with six rebounds and three assists for the Wolverines (7-3, 4-1).
Maple Grove (3-7, 2-3) was led by Gabe Carlson with 14 points, while Liam Colburn provided 13 and Aiden Dahlberg had 12.

RED & GREEN
WIN SIXTH STRAIGHT
LANCASTER — Jamestown claimed its sixth straight win, downing Lancaster 65-46 in an Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 boys basketball game.
The victory, which raised the Red & Green’s record to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in the league, featured 21 points, seven assists and three steals from Dominic Gonzalez; 14 points, nine rebounds, three steals and two blocks from Elijah Farmer; 14 points and three assists from Gavin Johnson; and 12 points and six rebounds from Karson Milne.
After a close first half — Jamestown led 30-26 — the Legends (6-4, 1-1) were limited to just 20 points after the break, allowing the Red & Green to pull away.
Jamestown shot 26 of 57 from the field, held a 29-20 rebounding edge and forced 22 turnovers. Milne was particularly impressive, connecting on all five of his field-goal attempts.
Leading the way for Lancaster were Ryan Hartwig with 16 points and Ryan Smith with 12.
The Red & Green will return to action Friday when they entertain Orchard Park at McElrath Gymnasium.

Dominic Polino provided 12 points and seven rebounds for Ellicottville (5-3, 2-1). Ramadan Wilson scored 10 points and six boards; AJ Myers had 10 points and five assists; and Rylan Benjamin reeled in five rebounds, six steals and three assists.

RANDOLPH — Broden Brooks hit three 3-pointers during a 17-10 fourth quarter as Randolph rallied past Frewsburg for a 37-32 Division 3 victory.
The Bears (3-6, 2-1) outscored the Cardinals (6-1, 3-0) 6-1 in the first quarter and led 14-6 at halftime before Randolph’s 31-18 second half.
Kevin McElwain led the Cardinals with 13 points and Brooks had 11 while Hunter Foster had 9.
Trent Lewis led Frewsburg with 9 points, eight rebounds and four steals to go along with three assists while Isaac Hultberg had four assists and two steals.

ALLEGANY — Junior Chase Bianco scored a career-high 27 points to go along with seven steals to lead Falconer past Allegany-Limestone 75-36 in Division 1 play.
Max Parmentier had 16 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists and three steals while Donovan Delaney and D’Mitri Carlson had 12 points apiece for the Golden Falcons (8-4, 3-2), who led 39-15 at halftime.
