Sherman Boys Improve To 3-0 On The Week With Win Over Brocton
SHERMAN — Playing its third game in three nights, Sherman improved to 3-0 for the week with a 78-36 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 boys basketball win over Brocton on Thursday.
Jacob Ferranto led the Wildcats (11-1, 6-1) with 18 points, Talon Persons had 14 and Ely Smith chipped in 10.
Anthony Gatto led the Bulldogs (0-13, 0-7) with 19 points.

WEST VALLEY — Liam Price scored 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, during a 27-5 first quarter to jump-start Maple Grove to a 79-25 nonleague win over West Valley.
Price finished with 22 points, Aiden Dahlberg had 14, Liam Colburn had 12 and Gabe Carlson had 10 for the Red Dragons (5-11).
Derek Schoepflin led the Wildcats with 18 points.
