FREWSBURG — The Frewsburg girls wrestling team won three of the five matches wrestled against Fredonia/Forestville/Silver Creek, but seven forfeits delivered the Hillbillies a 44-15 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association victory Tuesday.
After dropping the first three matches that were wrestled, Fredonia/Forestville/Silver Creek finished strong with a technical-fall victory and a pin while taking the match.
Zayelah Swierkosz first earned a 10 second-round technical-fall victory over Frewsburg’s Lily Stappenbeck.
Then, Kimmy Bauer finished the night for Fredonia/Forestville/Silver Creek earning a pin over Bailey Fuller in the first round at 235 pounds.
Frewsburg won its first three matches by pinfall. Emelyn Campion started with a pin over Claire Bentham at 100 pounds, Teagan Nazario earned a second-round pin over Shaneyska Torres-Soto and Summer Winters quickly pinned Mallory Mikula for Frewsburg.
