DUNKIRK — Seven area wrestlers claimed first-place finishes, including four from Salamanca, at the Dunkirk Invitational on Saturday.

Claiming top spots for the Warriors were Brenda Bova-Redeye (132); Arianna Acosta (165); Madison Mohr (185); and Emma Domres (235).

The remaining area winners were Madeline Parent of Dunkirk (114); Nylah Sharpe of Falconer/Cassadaga Valley (120); Lilyanna Stappenbeck of Frewsburg/Jamestown/Southwestern (145); and Zayelah Swierkosz of Fredonia/Forestville/Silver Creek (152).

LOCKPORT TOURNAMENT

LOCKPORT — Kamren Anderson of Randolph captured the 103-pound title to highlight the local wrestlers who competed at the 32nd Lockport Tournament on Saturday.

Anderson downed Landon Mersdorf of North Tonawanda 8-6 in the title bout.

Also earning podium finishes among the local grapplers were Jomar Quiles of Fredonia/Forestville/Silver Creek, who finished second at 110 pounds; and teammate Mayson Simmons, who placed third at 132 pounds.
