Buckley Gets Hot From Deep To Send Fredonia Past Falconer
FALCONER — Isabella Buckley had 19 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead Fredonia past Falconer 57-40 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 girls basketball Friday.
Cece Tonelli had 14 points; Naomi Muck had six steals, four rebounds and three assists; Juliana Snyder had six rebounds; and Madelyn Polhamus had six steals for the Hillbillies (5-5, 2-3).
Fredonia led 22-18 at halftime before outscoring Falconer 19-8 in the third quarter.
Ellyson Baglia led the Golden Falcons (5-7, 3-3) with 16 points and 13 rebounds; Alexis Smith had eight rebounds and four blocked shots; and Alyssa Howard had three assists.

SHERMAN — Emmersen Crawford scored 10 of her game-high 24 points during a 21-6 second quarter as Sherman pulled away from Chautauqua Lake for a 71-51 Division 2 victory.
Baya Oehlbeck added 22 points — 12 in the fourth quarter — to go along with three steals; Natalie Kranz had 9 points and six rebounds; Carlie Gable had six rebounds; and Ava Kay Irwin had three steals for the Wildcats (4-7, 3-2).

WEST ELLICOTT — Charlotte Beaver had 17 points, five steals and four rebounds as Southwestern took over sole possession of first place in Division 1 with a 55-38 win over Salamanca.
Gianna Sirianni had 14 points, five rebounds and three steals while Jada Edwards had 10 points, six steals and six rebounds for the Trojans (8-4, 6-0).
Southwestern led 16-6 after the first quarter and 28-14 at halftime.
“Our girls played hard and united from start to finish tonight,” Southwestern head coach Kay Sirianni said. “Our bench gave us quality minutes and Jada Edwards played her best game of the season.”
