FREWSBURG — A 15-4 first quarter jump-started Frewsburg to a 47-30 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 boys basketball win over Gowanda on Thursday night.
Jaden Collver led the Bears (3-4, 2-0) with 12 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots; Isaac Hultberg had 9 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals; and Gavin Weaver had 9 points, eight rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Lukas Barrett led the Panthers (3-5, 0-2) with 8 points.

PIRATES KNOCK OFF WESTFIELD
WESTFIELD — Clymer went 21 of 25 from the free throw line to knock off Westfield 49-39 in Division 2 action.
Carson White paced the Pirates (5-4, 4-0) with 16 points, including 11 from the charity stripe, while also grabbing four rebounds, four steals, two assists and a block. Elijah Mitchell provided a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, Roman Wassink scored 11 points with five rebounds and two steals, Kameron Einink had eight rebounds, three steals and two assists and Blake Beckerink added five steals.
Westfield (5-3, 3-1) was led by Grant Beadle with a double-double of 13 points, 19 rebounds, four blocks and two steals. Nolan Anderson also collected seven rebounds with two blocks and two steals, Braylon Swanson had four boards, four assists and three steals, Lincoln Thomas made three assists and Logan Baum had two blocks.
