Max Parmentier Pours In 28, Lifting Falconer Boys Past MG

FALCONER — Max Parmentier opened the 2025-26 boys basketball season in style Tuesday night, pouring in 28 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to lead Falconer to a 60-44 victory over Maple Grove in a nonleague game on Tuesday night.
D’Mitri Carlson chipped in 13 points for the Golden Falcons, who led 31-19 at halftime.
For the Red Dragons, Liam Colburn led the way with 23 points.

PANTHERS EDGE BEARS
PANAMA — Behind a 20-6 fourth-quarter, Panama rallied to knock off Frewsburg 51-48 in a nonleague game.
Mike Horton scored eight of his game-high 22 points during the Panthers’ run, which also included a huge 3-pointer from Wyatt Eggleston.
Horton was also credited with six rebounds and three steals; Konner Morgan added eight boards, including five offensive; and Eggleston chipped in three steals.
For Frewsburg, Jaden Collver and Trent Lewis both had 15 points. The Bears used a 20-4 second quarter to build a 32-20 lead at intermission, but Panama’s fourth-quarter rally turned out to be the difference.

SOUTH DAYTON — Cal Cook scored 21 points to go along with five steals, three boards and an assist to lead Sherman past Pine Valley 72-34 in nonleague boys basketball action.
Talon Persons provided another 12 points, four assists, four steals and a block for the Wildcats (1-0, 0-0); Jacob Ferranto had 11 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks; and Riley Johnson collected 12 boards with three assists.
Pine Valley (0-1, 0-1) was led by Andres Morillas with 10 points.
