Lumia, Rivera Claim Titles At A/B Inter-Divisional

HOUGHTON — Two Jamestown athletes picked up wins at the Section VI indoor track and field meets at Houghton University’s Kerr-Pegula Field House this weekend.
In the A/B Inter-Divisional, Jamestown sophomore Beckett Lumia won the 300-meter dash in 36.77 seconds while senior teammate Jorge Rivera Jr. won the high jump at 6 feet.
In the C/D Inter-Divisional, the Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville girls won the 1,600-meter relay in 4:30.35.
Back in the A/B Inter-Divisional, Jamestown junior Angel Martinez was second in the 55-meter dash (6.72) and sophomore Tyler Tellez was third in the pole vault (12-6).
Falconer/Randolph/Frewsburg/Maple Grove senior Mary Lundmark was third in the pole vault (9-6) while senior teammate Brea Rubrecht was third in the shot put (28-8.25) and fifth in the weight throw (30-6.75).
Falconer/Randolph/Frewsburg/Maple Grove’s boys were second in the 1,600-meter relay (3:45.40) and Jamestown’s boys were third in the 800-meter relay (1:39.22).
Jamestown senior Wyatt Olmstead fourth (4:51.41) and sophomore Thomas Kathman was fifth (4:54.57) in the 1,600 meters while Fredonia/Westfield junior Jack Fagan was fifth in the 600 meters (1:34.89)
Falconer/Randolph/Frewsburg/Maple Grove sophomore Kadence Durow was fifth in the 1,000 meters (3:36.72).
In the C/D Inter-Divisional, Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville’s girls won the 1,600-meter relay in 4:30.35.
Individually, Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville senior Samuel Bowers was third in the 600 meters (1:30.53) while Salamanca senior Evan Spruce was third in the shot put (40-9.25).
Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville freshman Leona Crane was third in the pole vault (7-6) while Salamanca junior Kylynne Day was third in the shot put (25-3) and third in the weight throw (27-11.5).
Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville senior Nathan Mays was fourth in the pole vault (11-0).
Salamanca senior Xazavier Escobar was fifth in the 55-meter dash (6.9), Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville sophomore Leah Mays was fifth in the 1,000 meters (3:24.36), Salamanca sophomore Jamila Nelthrope was fifth in the long jump (15-10.75) and fifth in the pole vault (6-9), and Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville’s boys were fifth in the 800-meter relay (1:40.36) and fifth in the 1,600-meter relay (3:58.67)

HOUGHTON — Jamestown had five winners in the A/D Inter-Divisional while Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville, Salamanca, Falconer/Randolph/Frewsburg/Maple Grove and Fredonia/Westfield each had one in the B/C Inter-Divisional during Section VI action Dec. 6 at Houghton University’s Kerr-Pegula Field House.
Red & Green junior Angel Martinez won the 55-meter dash (6.78), senior Jorge Rivera Jr. won the high jump (6-2), sophomore Tyler Tellez won the pole vault (12-6), sophomore Beckett Lumia won the 600 meters in 1:29.18 and senior Ryah Leeper won the triple jump (33-11).
Also for Jamestown, Leeper was second in the high jump (4-6), junior Cameron Burgess was third in the 300-meter dash (38.01) and junior Troy Keefe was third in the weight throw (39-0.25), while the Red & Green boys were third in the 800-meter relay (1:38.99).
Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville senior Yeriel Gutierrez won the long jump (20-0), Salamanca sophomore Jamila Nelthrope won the 55-meter dash (7.69). Falconer/Randolph/Frewsburg/Maple Grove senior Mary Lundmark won the pole vault (10-0) and Fredonia/Westfield junior Callie Draggett won the shot put (28-2.75).
Falconer/Randolph/Frewsburg/Maple Grove senior Brea Rubrecht was second in the shot put (28-2.5), Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville sophomore Leah Mays was second in the 1,000 meters (3:21.44) and Salamanca’s boys were second in the 3,200-meter relay (9:51.84).
Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville senior Nathan Mays was third in the pole vault (12-0), Salamanca senior Evan Spruce was third in the shot put (40-4), Rubrecht was third in the weight throw (32-9.5), Fredonia/Westfield senior Mariella Russo was third in the high jump (4-8) and Fredonia/Westfield’s girls were third in the 1,600-meter relay (4:37.62).
Falconer/Randolph/Frewsburg/Maple Grove junior Sydney Simmons tied for fourth (8-6) in the pole vault and was fourth in the 55-meter hurdles (9.21), Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville senior Samuel Bowers was fourth in the 600 meters (1:30.46), Nelthrope was fourth in the 300-meter dash (45.18) and Falconer/Randolph/Frewsburg/Maple Grove senior Rhys Kelly was fourth in the 1,600 meters (4:59.10).
Spruce was fifth in the weight throw (41-2), Fredonia/Westfield junior Charis LaBarr was fifth in the 300-meter dash (45.91), Maple Grove/Cassadaga Valley/Frewsburg/Randolph’s boys were fifth (10:10.25) in the 3,200-meter relay and Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville’s girls took fifth in the 800-meter relay (1:43.69).
