Frewsburg Surges Past North Tonawanda In 4th Quarter 61-55
NORTH TONAWANDA — Abery Harvey provided 27 points and Jadyn Trocki scored 26 as the Frewsburg girls surged past North Tonawanda in the fourth quarter for a 61-55 nonleague girls basketball victory on Wednesday.
Trocki had a double-double in the Bears (1-0, 0-0) victory, collecting 10 rebounds, three steals, three assists and two blocks. Jaden Jimerson collected another four rebounds with four assists, Elysse Gruber had three boards and three assists and Presleigh Stelmack provided a block.
North Tonawanda (1-1, 0-0) was led by Annabelle Day with 24 points, Maddie Caron scored 12 and Jakayla Brown had 10.

Bryanna Cornell’s triple-double propelled Maple Grove to a 41-33 victory over Falconer in a nonleague game.
Cornell scored 14 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and recorded 10 steals to highlight the Red Dragons’ season-opening win.
Margaret Ryan tallied a game-high 15 points to go along with seven boards and Dani Trim collected six rebounds.
For the Golden Falcons (1-1, 0-0), Ellyson Baglia led the way with 10 points and Sydnee Snow chipped in 9.
