F/S/J/F Sweeps Relays, Takes Second At Clarence Invite
CLARENCE — Frewsburg/Southwestern/Jamestown/Falconer won all three relays and three individual events en route to a second-place team finish at the Clarence Invitational on Friday.
In the 200-yard medley relay, Landon Frederes, Grady Moore, Mike Rambacher and Miles Moore finished in a state-qualifying time of 1:38.01 to beat Orchard Park by nearly two seconds.
Frewsburg/Southwestern/Jamestown/Falconer then won the 200-yard freestyle relay as the same quartet finished in a state-qualifying time of 1:27.92, more than two seconds faster than Williamsville South.
Finally, Frederes and the Moore brothers joined Caleb Webster to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:20.11, more than five seconds faster than Williamsville North.
Miles Moore won the 50-yard freestyle with a state-qualifying time of 21.50 seconds, Grady Moore won the 100-yard butterfly in a state-qualifying time of 50.99 seconds, and Frederes captured the 100-yard backstroke with a state-qualifying time of 53.86 seconds.
Individually, Levi Overend was Frewsburg/Southwestern/Jamestown/Falconer’s top scorer. He took fourth in the 500-yard freestyle with a Section VI-qualifying time of 5:29.18 and also was 10th in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.33).
Logan Johnson, Webster, Overend and Alex Piazza were seventh in the 200-yard medley relay (1:59.39) while Webster, Piazza, Jimmy Mitchener and Overend were eighth in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:43.73).
Colten Kramer was fourth in 1-meter diving (146.30), Johnson was seventh in the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.58), Rambacher was ninth in the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.78), Mitchener was 10th in the 200-yard individual medley (2:31.38), Webster was 10th in the 50-yard freestyle (24.28), Johnson was 10th in the 100-yard freestyle (54.97) and Piazza was 10th in the 500-yard freestyle (6:46.73).
