Dunkirk Rallies Past Salamanca In Division 1

DUNKIRK — The Dunkirk boys basketball team surged past Salamanca in the fourth quarter to secure a 63-59 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 victory on Tuesday night.
The Dunkirk (3-0, 1-0) comeback was led by K’Vion Tell scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter and Naisaih Rodriguez draining all three of his triples in the period, outscoring the Warriors 24-11 in the frame. Tell led all scorers with 25, Rodriguez ended with 9 and Malik McCall provided 12.
Salamanca (4-2, 1-1) was led by Payton Bradley with 22 points and Calum Farnum with 14.

PANAMA — Syrai Johnson scored 19 points and Randolph held off Panama in the second half for a 46-42 nonleague victory.
Broden Brooks added 12 points for the Cardinals (3-1).
Michael Horton paced Panama (3-1) with a game-high 24 points.

BLACK KNIGHTS LOSE IN OT
SPRINGVILLE — The Silver Creek boys fell short of Springville in overtime of nonleague action 73-72.
The Silver Creek (1-3) effort was led by Alan Hoelzle’s double-double with 18 points, 13 boards, five assists, two steals and two blocks. Taydence Stevens added another 17 points, six assists and three steals, Andrew Arnold had 14 points, five boards and two assists and Gavin Delong scored 10 points with three assists.
Springville stays undefeated with a 4-0 record.
TROJANS ROLL PAST GATORS
ALLEGANY — Roger Markham scored 27 points to lead Southwestern to a 68-41 Division 1 win over Allegany-Limestone.
Jalen Edwards added 11 points and Landon Hooks had 10 for the Trojans (2-2, 1-0), who outscored the Gators 39-17 in the middle two quarters.
Ryan Callen led Allegany-Limestone (2-3, 0-2) with 16 points.
