The Jamestown High School football team made another appearance in the Section VI Class AA championship game at Highmark Stadium last month.
That was one of plenty of highlights for the Red & Green during the 2025 season.
Among the others was the announcement of the Section VI Class AA all-star teams where head coach Tom Langworthy’s crew was well-represented.
The headliner was senior Chase Bonta, who was selected as the Offensive Player of the Year and First-Team running back.

The 5-foot-9, 195-pounder rushed for 1,671 yards and 28 touchdowns, which ranked fourth and second respectively among Section VI running backs. A finalist for the Connolly Cup, Bonta was also a standout on defense where he made a team-best 107 tackles, including 11 for loss; intercepted two passes, returning one for a touchdown; and forced two fumbles, recovering one.
For his career, Bonta has the fourth- and fifth-best single-season rushing totals in school history; is third on the all-time career rushing list (4,004 yards); owns Jamestown’s single-game rushing record (373 yards); is tied for rushing attempts in a game (43); and is the owner of the fourth- and fifth-best single-season rushing touchdown totals (28 and 26).
Joining Bonta on the First Team were offensive linemen Eligh DeLeon, a senior, and Andre Graham, a junior; senior linebacker Luis Diaz; and senior kicker Evan Maloney.
DeLeon, a Trench Trophy finalist, and Graham anchored an offensive line that helped amass nearly 2,400 rushing yards; Diaz was a stalwart on defense where he accumulated 100 tackles, including 12 for loss, intercepted a pass, and forced a fumble and recovered another; and Maloney converted 32 of 39 point-after kicks and was 1-for-1 on field-goal attempts.
Chosen to the Second Team were senior offensive linemen Gavin Ford and Asziah Watson; senior defensive lineman Cole Anderson; and freshman linebacker Alaric Richards.
Honorable-mention selections were sophomore linebacker Drew Bloomquist; junior defensive lineman Kalun Hodgkin; junior defensive back Angel Martinez; and senior offensive lineman Joey Perry.
Jack Eskridge of Section VI Class AA and Class AA division champion Bennett was named the Player of the Year; Jason Hargrove of Bennett and Matt Wright of Orchard Park were selected the Co-Defensive Players of the Year; Steve McDuffie of Bennett was named the Coach of the Year; and Derrick Fraiser of Hutch-Tech was the representative for the Sportsmanship Team Award.
