Success For Kebort’s Karate Tigers
Pictured above are members of Kebort’s Karate Tigers, who placed recently at the Pittsburgh State Championship. Renshi Malahki Schroder placed first in the 18-34 Men’s Master Blackbelt Kumite and fourth in Men’s Master Kata. He also placed fourth for 2025 in Blackbelt Men’s Heavyweight Kumite and Blackbelt Men’s 18-34 Traditional Kata. Hanshi Christina Kebort placed first in Women’s Master Blackbelt Weapons and Kata; second in Women’s Master 50-and-older Sparring (she moved up a bracket). She also took the overall Master Grand Champion title. She placed first in Women’s Master Blackbelt Kata, taking the PKRA state title for 2025, second in Women’s Master Blackbelt Weapons and third in Women’s Blackbelt Heavyweight Sparring for 2025. Donna Bermudez placed second in Novice Women 35-and-older Kata and first in Women’s Senior Novice Sparring. They are seen here along with the team mascots, Mary Schroder and Xavier Delo. Not pictured is David Gray Jr., who placed fifth overall in 2025 in Men’s Senior Advanced 35-and-older Kumite.
