Southwestern Central School’s Emma Lewis has been selected to compete in the Gold race at the New Balance Running Lane Cross Country Championship in Huntsville, Ala., on Dec. 6. The junior standout qualified for elite racer distinction by running a 5K time under 17 minutes, 50 seconds for the current season. She will be competing against runners from throughout the United States and Canada. Most recently, Lewis placed fourth overall in Class C at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championships at Queensbury High School.
