The Allegany-Limestone boys soccer team faced little trouble in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division I action this season. The Gators went undefeated and outscored opponents 28-4 in league action.
The architects behind that success were midfielder Cooper Wilczewski, who was named the league’s Player of the Year after scoring 13 goals with nine assists, and defender Gian Perry, who helped provide six clean sheets while being named league Defensive Player of the Year.
The Gators were unable to sweep all of the awards as Dunkirk put together a successful campaign going 5-4-1 in league under Coach of the Year Zack Meadows and Offensive Player of the Year Victor Millan.
The Marauders began the season going 4-1-1. Millan paced the Dunkirk attack all season long with 17 goals and three assists. The senior Millan was joined on the league’s First Team by three more teammates, the second most in the league.
Fellow senior Naisaih Rodriguez was also named at forward after scoring 11 goals with 12 assists. Senior defenders Anthony Bautista (6 goals, 4 assists) and Daniel Hoth also earned spots. The duo also helped Dunkirk outscore opponents 52-39 with a pair of clean sheets in league play.
The Marauders added Second-Team selections in junior midfielder Brady Dobek and sophomore defender Gehrig Perry. Dunkirk’s honorable mentions were juniors Lucas Felt and Dylan Ott, sophomore Brendan Worczak and senior Alexander Biscaro.
Allegany-Limestone placed five players on the First Team with Kaleb Reed scoring 13 goals and three assists at forward, senior Noah Hatch joined Wilczewski in the midfield after providing six goals and four assists. Behind Parry on defense was First-Team goalkeeper Donovan Booker, who backstopped a side that surrendered just 10 goals all season.
The Gators added another four to the Second Team with senior forward Mat Burnett, senior midfielder Landon Hayes, freshman defender Adam Jaquith and senior defender George Brairton. Allegany-Limestone’s honorable mentions were sophomore Collin Coleman and junior Colton Reska.
Despite going 1-9-0 in league play, Olean had three First-Team selections with senior forward Brady Riehle scoring four goals and six assists, junior midfielder Ethan Woodring providing another four goals and senior defender Taylor Teachman leading the Huskies’ back line.
The Huskies added Second-Team junior forward Connor Hogle, senior midfielder Grady Smucinski, sophomore defender Gehrig Perry and senior goalkeeper Braylon Torres. Olean’s honorable mentions were seniors Jonathan Tidd and Dakota Moore.
Fredonia was represented on the First Team by senior midfielder Ryan Koopman, who scored 17 goals and 10 assists. Sophomore forward Brayden Korzeniewski and senior midfielder Neshwan Arif represented the Hillbillies on the Second Team, while juniors Seth Davidson and Luka Paoletta and senior Sam Pietro were honorable mentions.
Jamestown sophomore Beckett Lumia earned a First-Team selection at midfield after scoring 16 goals and 12 assists for the Red & Green. Juniors Cameron Burgess and Tavion Goodlow were named to the Second Team at forward and defender, respectively.
Jamestown had five honorable mentions in freshman Ali Alkharson, juniors Aaden Howard and Karson Milne, sophomore William Schnars and senior Lucas Arnone.
Southwestern senior Ryan Ohl earned the final First-Team spot at defender while helping the Trojans complete two clean sheets on the season and scoring four times himself.
