BUFFALO — Isaiah Sisson’s goal in the second minute was all Section V’s Fillmore would need to knock off Section VI’s Maple Grove 3-0 in the Class D boys soccer Far West Regional on Friday at West Seneca West High School.

The Eagles were all over Maple Grove from the start and scored their second goal of the game in the 49th minute on the team’s 11th corner of the game, once again from Sisson. Fillmore added a third tally in the 76th minute when Ezra Knapp connected on a shot just inside the 18-yard line.

Maple Grove finishes its season as the uncontested Section VI Class D champion with an 8-7-0 overall record.

Fillmore moves on to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association final four next weekend in Middletown against either Section X’s Colton-Pierrepont or Section IV’s Edmeston Central.
