Tonelli Records Hat Trick As Fredonia Blanks Chautauqua Lake

FREDONIA — Cecelia Tonelli netted a hat trick as Fredonia beat Chautauqua Lake 4-0 in nonleague girls soccer action on Senior Night for the Hillbillies on Friday.

Tonelli scored unassisted in the fourth minute, from Mady Polhamus in the fifth minute and from Callie Draggett in the eight minute to raise her season total to 30 goals.

Polhamus capped the scoring from Alanna Marvin in the 62nd minute.

Naomi Muck recorded her eighth clean sheet of the season in net for Fredonia (10-4-1).

Addison Chess made 10 saves for the Eagles (4-9-0).

The Hillbillies recognized seniors Mariella Russo, and Gracia Domenico.

GOLDEN COUGARS HOLD ON

YORKSHIRE — Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove went up 3-0 and held on for a 3-2 nonleague win over Pioneer.

Julianna Roth scored from Mary Lundmark in the 10th minute and the Golden Cougars (9-4-1) led 1-0 at halftime.

In the 50th minute, Brynn Helms scored from Lundmark and Lily McPherson capped the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 55th minute.

Ellyson Baglia made four saves in net for Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove, which will host Frewsburg in a nonleague “Pink Out” game Monday evening.

LYON RECORDS HAT TRICK

BROCTON — Juleana Lyon netted a hat trick for Ellicottville in a 4-0 shutout of Westfield/Brocton in nonleague action.

Lyon scored from Delaney Myers in the 16th minute and 65th minutes before finishing her hat trick from Eliza Murray in the 73rd minute. Myers scored the Eagles’ other goal from Ainsley Edwards in the 21st minute.

Ady Andrews made five saves in the clean sheet for Ellicottville (9-5-0).

Colie Bundy made 14 saves for the Wolverines (7-5-2).
