SC/D/F Honors Senior Runners With Victories
SILVER CREEK — Silver Creek/Dunkirk/Forestville won boys and girls nonleague cross country meets against Gowanda, Cattaraugus-Little Valley and Randolph on Monday.
The Black Knights, who honored seniors Samuel Bowers, Nathan Cross, Hanan Mohamad Narvaez, Elisabeth Tampubolon and Gwen Souter.
Silver Creek/Dunkirk/Forestville won the girls race with 30 points, led by third-place Leah Mays, fourth-place Emma Golembieski, sixth-place Leona Crane and seventh-place Mohamad Narvaez.
Randolph’s Gracyn Rowland won the race in 17:20.9 while Gowanda’s Hayleigh Miller was second. Cattaraugus-Little Valley’s Madeline Pietras was 13th. The Cardinals were second with 58 points, followed by the Panthers (59) and Timberwolves (93).
Silver Creek/Dunkirk/Forestville beat Gowanda 24-33 in the boys race. No other teams were complete. Fredonia’s Pietro Cabitza was the top finisher in 14:33.58, Randolph’s Rhys Kelly was second and Cattaraugus-Little Valley’s Alexander Pietras was third. Bowers was the Black Knights’ top finisher in fourth and Jaxon Hagan was the Panthers’ top finisher in seventh.
