Teams Raise Money For Breast Cancer Awareness

Londyn Wilmot had 14 kills, four aces and two blocks as Fredonia beat Jamestown 22-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-22 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 volleyball Wednesday.

Elly Saunders had two kills, 11 aces and four digs while Alyse Bugaj had 19 assists, three kills and four digs for the Hillbillies (5-6, 4-4).

On Pink Out Night at McElrath Gymnasium, Remy Anderson had four kills, an assist, two blocks and an ace; AJ Spitzer had five kills, seven digs and a block; and Abby Vogan had 14 digs and four aces for the Red & Green (1-10, 1-6).

Jamestown won the jayvee matchup.

WEST ELLICOTT — Mylie Zaranek and Emily Zaranek had 11 kills apiece while Reagan Trask handed out 39 assists as Falconer beat Southwestern 25-18, 25-14, 25-14 in Division 1 action.

Hannah Melquist had 10 kills, 21 digs and two aces; Trask had four digs; Mylie Zaranek had 14 digs and two aces; Emily Zaranek had five digs; and Skyler Norlander had eight kills for the Golden Falcons (10-2, 7-1).

For the Trojans (4-7, 2-5), Gianna Sirianni provided an ace and eight digs, Claire Kautzman made 14 digs and Elise Kartesz had 13 assists.

GOWANDA HAS

STRONG SERVICE DAY

SALAMANCA — Gowanda served up 13 aces en route to improving to 9-1 overall and 8-0 in Division 2 with a 25-14, 24-9, 25-15 sweep of Salamanca.

Addison Kota had four aces, two kills, two digs and a block; Maleina Moses had three aces, six kills and three digs; and Aubrey Smuda had three aces and four digs, while Bella Maines, Corrina John and Evalene John each had an ace for the Panthers.

Hadleigh Krug had 15 digs and Charli Hill had five kills for the Warriors (3-9, 3-8).

T’WOLVES SWEEP

ELLICOTTVILLE

CATTARAUGUS — Cattaraugus-Little Valley swept Ellicottville 25-20, 25-16, 25-20 to improve to 10-1 overall and 7-1 in Division 2.

Ande Northrup had five kills, 10 assists and a dig; Riley Whitmer had six kills, four digs and an ace; Izzy Coburn had six kills and six digs; and Karle Northrup had five digs, three aces, a kill and an assist for the Eagles (7-5, 3-5).
