Randolph Earns Fourth League Win Over Three-Loss T’Wolves

RANDOLPH — Addyson Shawley recorded 26 kills, two aces, three blocks and eight digs as Randolph knocked off Cattaraugus-Little Valley in five sets of Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 volleyball action 24-26, 26-24, 25-23, 19-25, 15-6.

Piper Chase provided 26 assists, four kills, six digs, four aces and a block for Randolph (5-11, 4-7). Ryanne Bushey had eight kills, two assists, seven digs and an ace, and Maybelle Kovel had six digs and three aces.

Cattaraugus-Little Valley fell to 13-3 overall and 8-3 in league.

FREDONIA SWEEPS DUNKIRK

DUNKIRK — Londyn Wilmot recorded 17 kills as Fredonia swept Dunkirk 25-16, 25-10, 25-19 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 volleyball action Monday.

Elly Saunders had three aces and eight kills for the Hillbillies (6-9, 5-6), and Alysse Bugaj dished out 23 assists.

Dunkirk (1-15, 0-12) was led by Aidri Vega with six kills and Kelsey Lancaster, who had nine assists.

EAGLES SWEEP

WEST VALLEY — Riley Whitmer had seven kills and seven digs as Ellicottville swept West Valley/Franklinville 25-14, 25-14, 25-13 in Division 2.

Ande Northrup handed out 16 assists to go along with three digs and two aces for Ellicottville (13-6, 5-6). Izzy Coburn had five kills, six digs and four aces, and Katie Lafferty had three kills and three aces.

West Valley/Franklinville fell to 0-11 overall and 0-10 in league.

PAST FALCONER

PORTVILLE — Ali Haynes provided 20 kills, two aces, five digs and five blocks as Portville swept Falconer 25-14, 25-13, 25-18 in Division 1.

Addie Walker dished out 27 assists, five aces, two digs and a kill for Portville (14-0, 11-0). Leigha Stives had two kills, a block and an ace; Marissa Carls scored eight kills, an ace and three digs; and Mia Rhinehart had three assists and 17 digs.

Falconer (14-3, 9-2) was led by Emily Zaranek with six kills, seven digs and two aces; Reagan Trask had 11 assists, two aces, four digs and two blocks; and Hannah Melquist provided six kills, four digs and two blocks.

HUSKIES DOWN TROJANS

OLEAN — Viktoriia Lozynska had 13 kills and Kaylin Kratts had 11 as Olean swept Southwestern 25-11, 25-22, 25-9 in Division 1.

Ava Moses had eight kills while Alyx Henzel had five kills, six digs and four aces for the Huskies (11-4, 8-3).

The Southwestern (6-10, 4-7) effort was led by Gianna Sirianni with three kills, Claire Kautzman’s 10 digs and Lilyauna Hutzler’s three aces.
