Fredonia Beats Jamestown 4-1; Dunkirk Tops Southwestern

FREDONIA — Brayden Korzeniewski scored twice to lead Fredonia past Jamestown 4-1 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division I boys soccer Thursday.

Neshawn Arif and Ryan Koopman each added a goal while Hayden Babar, Koopman and Brady Crawford each had an assist for the Hillbillies (9-1-2, 3-1-2).

The Red & Green fell to 3-6-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the league.

MILLAN NETS HAT TRICK

WEST ELLICOTT — Victor Millan netted a first-half hat trick as Dunkirk beat Southwestern 4-1 in Division 1 play.

Millan scored from Naisaih Rodriguez in the 22nd minute, then scored unassisted in the 32nd minute, and scored again from Rodriguez in the 34th minute. Josh Lemanski scored the final goal for the Marauders (8-3-1, 4-1-1) from Rodriguez.

The Trojans fell to 2-8-1 overall and 1-4-0 in the league.

WESTFIELD/BROCTON BLANKS RED DRAGONS

WESTFIELD — A goal in each half sent Westfield/Brocton to a 2-0 win over Maple Grove in Division III.

George Chapman scored from Caleb Stoughton in the 19th minute before Braylon Swanson scored in the 55th minute for the Wolverines (10-2-0, 6-0-0).

The Red Dragons fell to 5-5-0 overall and 1-4-0 in the league.

FREEMAN HAS BIG NIGHT

SALAMANCA — Cooper Freeman scored five times and added three assists as Randolph beat Salamanca 10-0 in Division II play.

Freeman had four of his goals and all three of his assists in an 8-0 first half. On the season, the Cardinals (10-1-1, 5-0-1) senior has 33 goals and 18 assists.

Gavin Senn also had a hat trick and chipped in an assist; Preston Eccles and Jaydan Champlin each added a goal; Isaac Pihlblad had three assists; and Malachi Brown, Grady Steward and Champlin each had an assist for Randolph. Randy Nottingham made one save en route to the clean sheet.

The Warriors fell to 1-10-0 overall and 1-5-0 in the league.

SHEEHY, KEHR DIRECT OFFENSE

NORTH COLLINS — Neven Sheehy and Mitchell Kehr each had a pair of assists to help North Collins beat Silver Creek/Forestville 4-0 in Division III play.

Eli Hoffman, Lucio Zagari, Evan Weisdel and Abe Parnitzke each scored a goal for the Eagles (7-4-0, 4-1-0).

The Black Knights fell to 4-7-0 overall and 1-5-0 in the league.

PORTVILLE TOPS GOLDEN COUGARS

FALCONER — Portville improved to 9-0-3 overall and 5-0-1 in Division II with a 5-2 win over Cassadaga Valley/Falconer at Bill Race Field.

For the Golden Cougars (3-8-1, 2-3-1), Cameron Katilus scored one goal from Skyler Szablewski and another from Jakob Huling.
