Clymer Clinches Share Of D4 Title

CLYMER — Lily Johnson had eight aces to go along with seven digs and two kills to lead Clymer to a 25-14, 25-13, 25-21 sweep of Cassadaga Valley to clinch at least a share of the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 4 volleyball title Thursday.

Elli Bodamer had four aces, four kills and four digs; Olivia Dellamora had six aces and 11 digs; Keira Kinal had four aces, four kills and two digs; Harleigh Faulkner had two aces, four kills, a block and eight digs; and Addie Wiggers and Maiya Dunnewold each had eight assists for the Pirates (9-6, 8-0).

Melanie Myles had nine assists, three aces and four digs; Breonna Hopkins had five kills; and Alexis Pattyson had six kills and a block for the Cougars (8-6, 6-2).

Cassadaga Valley won the jayvee matchup.

RYAN POWERS RED DRAGONS

BROCTON — Meg Ryan had nine kills, three blocks and an ace to lead Maple Grove past Brocton 25-21, 22-25, 25-21, 25-13 in Division 3.

Zoey Foley had eight kills and 22 digs; Bry Cornell had seven kills, a block, eight digs and two aces; and Mady Haglund had 28 assists and an ace for the Red Dragons (11-3, 5-2).

Evie Morrison led the Bulldogs (7-3, 3-3) with 13 kills to go along with 13 digs, an ace and an assist; Grace Lundine had two aces, two kills and 19 digs; Sha’Na Adams had five aces, 28 assists, a kill and two digs; and Zoe Spiller had two aces, an assist, 11 kills and eight digs.

Maple Grove won the jayvee matchup.

BURGESS HANDS OUT 20 ASSISTS

WESTFIELD — Maddie Burgess had 20 assists to go along with two aces and a dig as Westfield swept Silver Creek 25-23, 25-15, 25-9 in Division 3 play.

Reagan Weingart had six kills; Nahlia Douglas had six kills, six digs and seven aces; Avery Smith had six kills and two digs; and Mackenzie Schumaker had four kills, two digs, an assist and an ace for the Wolverines (11-1, 5-1).

The Black Knights fell to 4-10 overall and 0-7 in the league.

Westfield won the jayvee matchup.

NORTH COLLINS PREVAILS

FORESTVILLE — North Collins defeated Forestville in a Division 4 match.

Iris Muck collected five kills, one block and seven aces; and Elizabeth Case chipped in two aces, three assists, one kill and one block for the Hornets (2-8, 2-5).

The Eagles improved to 2-11 and 2-5.
