Wofford, Hamilton Shine For Jamestown

C.J. Wofford led throughout the entire race as Jamestown won a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association boys cross country race with 15 points at the Martin Road Athletic Complex on Tuesday.

Wofford finished in 17:21 as the Red & Green took the top five spots. Silver Creek/Dunkirk/Forestville was second with 43 points, led by eighth-place Samuel Bowers. Frewsburg and Falconer/Cassadaga Valley were incomplete.

In the girls race, the combined team of Silver Creek, Dunkirk and Forestville scored 33 points to edge out Jamestown, which finished second with 36 points. Frewsburg followed with 53 and Falconer/Cassadaga Valley was incomplete.

Jamestown’s London Hamilton finished first in 20:48, Frewsburg’s Jadyn Trocki was second and Silver Creek/Dunkirk/Forestville’s Hanan Mohamad Narvaez was third.

KRENZER, CZEKANSKI LEAD FREDONIA

FREDONIA — Trent Krenzer and Izzie Czekanski were both winners to lead Fredonia to boys and girls victories at Fredonia High School.

Krenzer finished in 18:08 to lead the Hillbillies to 18 points for the boys victory. Gowanda was second with 39 points, led by seventh-place Maddox Hudson. Brocton was third with 80 points, paced by 23rd-place Xavior Ehmke. Randolph and Cattaraugus-Little Valley were incomplete.

Czekanski finished in 22:30 as the Hillbillies won the girls race with 19 points. Gowanda was second with 42 points, paced by sixth-place Hayleigh Miller. Cattaraugus-Little Valley was third with 68 points, led by 13th-place Madeline Pietras. Brocton and Randolph were incomplete.

PANAMA — Emma Lewis’ first-place finish in 19:40 led Southwestern to a girls team victory at Jack Keeney Community Field.

The Trojans finished with 30 points while Clymer/Sherman/Panama, led by second-place Grace Cooke, took second with 38 points. Maple Grove was third with 53 points, paced by fifth-place Mae Benedetto. Salamanca was incomplete.

In the boys race, Ethan Verbosky finished first in 18:10 as Maple Grove earned the team victory with 24 points. Clymer/Sherman/Panama, led by third-place Finn Fadale, took second with 37 points. Southwestern was third with 74 points, paced by 10th-place Jan Steinmann. Salamanca was incomplete.

ALLEGANY — West Valley’s Noah Klahn won the boys race in 16:23 and his teammate, Olivia Harmony, won the girls race in 21:25 at Allegany-Limestone Central School.

Franklinville/Ellicottville won the boys race with 24 points, led by second-place Grant Cornell. Olean was third with 32 points, led by fifth-place Cruz Clark. Allegany-Limestone and West Valley were incomplete.

Olean won the girls race with 18 points, paced by third-place May Eaton. Franklinville/Ellicottville was third with 38 points, led by ninth-place Kaylee Fox. Allegany-Limestone and West Valley were incomplete.
