Freeman Passes Pihlblad As Randolph’s All-Time Leading Scorer

RANDOLPH — Cooper Freeman became the all-time leading goal scorer in Randolph boys soccer history Tuesday night and it was no easy feat.

The Randolph senior’s fourth tally in a 10-0 win over Salamanca put him at 107 goals all time, surpassing his head coach, David Pihlblad’s, mark of 106.

Freeman also added three assists in the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division II victory.

Isaac Pihlblad provided two goals and two assists for the Cardinals (5-1-0, 1-0-0). Cody Slade scored twice, Gavin Senn had a goal and three assists, Preston Eccles scored another and Dallas Finch picked up an assist along with Grady Steward.

Salamanca fell to 0-5-0 overall and 0-1-0 in league with the loss.

DUNKIRK SHUTS OUT SOUTHWESTERN

DUNKIRK — Victor Millan scored twice in the first half and Dunkirk held on to defeat Southwestern 4-0 in Division I action at Karl Hoeppner Field on Tuesday.

Naisaih Rodriguez assisted Dunkirk’s first goal and then scored the final tally in the 65th minute. Josh Lemanski also provided a goal and an assist for Dunkirk (5-2-0, 1-0-0), and both Ismael Santiago and Anthony Bautista picked up assists. Dylan Ott made four saves in the clean-sheet effort by the Marauders.

Southwestern fell to 1-4-1 overall and 0-1-0 in league play with the loss.

PORTVILLE BLANKS GOLDEN COUGARS

PORTVILLE — Colin German scored twice as Portville downed Cassadaga Valley/Falconer 4-0 in Division II.

Garrett Reynolds provided a goal and an assist, John Neeson assisted the first goal and Luke Edwards scored the third goal as the Panthers (3-0-2, 1-0-0) cruised to victory.

Cassadaga Valley/Falconer (1-6-0, 0-1-0) made nine saves in net.

CZEDRICK SCORES TWICE FOR EAGLES

SILVER CREEK — Neri Czedrick scored twice as North Collins rattled off four unanswered goals to defeat Silver Creek/Forestville 4-1 in Division III action.

Mitchell Kehr picked up a goal and an assist for the Eagles (3-2-0, 1-0-0). Abe Parnitzke scored the final goal and both Luchia Zagari and Neven Sheehy had an assist.

Silver Creek/Forestville (3-3-0, 0-1-0) scored the opening goal in the 25th minute when Ryan Cook benefitted from an Alan Hoelzle assist.

KLEIN HAS BIG DAY

ELLICOTTVILLE — Tosh Klein scored twice and added an assist to lead Ellicottville/Franklinville past Pine Valley/Gowanda 5-0 in Division II.

Both Jaxson LaCroix and Rian Johnson provided a goal and an assist for Ellicottville/Franklinville (3-1-2, 1-0-0). Jacob Henning also scored once.

Pine Valley/Gowanda dropped to 0-6-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the league.

SWANSON LEADS WOLVERINES

BEMUS POINT — Braylon Swanson scored twice and picked up an assist to lead Westfield/Brocton past Maple Grove 3-1 in Division III.

Anthony Gatto began the scoring for the Wolverines (4-2-0, 1-0-0) in the 16th minute before Swanson added tallies in the 39th and 66th.

Maple Grove fell to 3-2-0 overall and 0-1-0 in league.

RED & GREEN TIE FREDONIA

Jamestown’s Beckett Lumia scored his second penalty kick with nine minutes left in regulation to finish off a hat trick and brought the score level with Fredonia at 3-3 as the two sides held on for the tie in Division I action at Strider Field.

Lumia scored in the first half with an assist by Robbie Williams, while Karson Milne made seven saves for the Red & Green (2-1-1, 0-0-1).

Fredonia (3-0-1, 0-0-1) received goals from Matt Cowan, Mason Tomaszewski and Hayden Babar, while RJ Koopman picked up an assist. Luka Paoletta made five saves for the ‘Billies in the tie.
