Hyde, Becker Help Panama Get Past Jamestown In Volleyball

PANAMA — Lilly Hyde had 13 kills and six digs while Annie Becker had eight kills, nine digs and two aces as Panama beat Jamestown 25-17, 25-19, 21-25, 25-13 in nonleague girls volleyball Friday.

Kiera Loberg had two kills, 28 assists and six aces while Mckenna Kolstee had seven kills and five blocks for the Panthers (3-2).

For the Red & Green (1-3), Remy Anderson had 14 kills, two assists and a dig; Layla Amatuzzo six kills, three assists and eight digs; Maylin Cuifolo had 12 assists and 13 digs; and Reagan Volpe had nine kills and 10 digs

Jamestown won the jayvee matchup.

FALCONER COASTS PAST CARDINALS

FALCONER — Reagan Trask had six aces and five assists as Falconer coasted past Randolph for a 25-15, 25-3, 25-14 nonleague sweep.

Hannah Melquist had nine kills, nine assists, six digs and four aces; Emily Zaranek had four kills and two aces; and Mylie Zaranek had 10 digs and two aces for the Golden Falcons (5-1)

The Cardinals fell to 0-4 overall.

WESTFIELD STAYS UNDEFEATED

SHERMAN — Avery Smith had 15 kills and three aces to power Westfield past Sherman 25-27, 25-18, 25-12, 25-14.

Maddie Burgess 27 assists, two kills, four digs and three aces; Nahlia Douglas had 10 kills, 10 digs and five aces; and Molly Burgess had 10 digs and five aces for the Wolverines (4-0).

Caylee Pinzok had three aces, nine assists and three digs; Madison Emory had two aces and three kills; Carlie Gable had two kills and six digs; and Emmersen Crawford had four kills, three blocks and an ace for the Wildcats (0-5).

Sherman won the jayvee matchup.

MAPLE GROVE WINS LEAGUE OPENER

ELLERY — Ariyah Brown had 17 assists, eight digs and four aces while Annie Steffen added eight kills, 10 digs and two aces as Maple Grove beat Silver Creek 25-27, 25-21, 25-20, 25-15 in Division 3 action.

Bry Cornell had five kills, three blocks, eight digs and three aces; Meg Ryan had five kills, three blocks, eight digs and three aces; Zoey Foley had four kills, 22 digs and three aces; Hailey Ullman had 18 digs; and Gemini Prittie had two aces for the Red Dragons (5-1, 1-0).

Molly Becker had six assists and five aces while Liana Parsell had six kills, three digs and two aces for the Black Knights (2-4, 0-1).

BROCTON PREVAILS

SINCLAIRVILLE — A balanced attack helped unbeaten Brocton overtake Cassadaga Valley in a nonleague match 25-18, 24-26, 25-12, 25-15.

Zoe Spiller collected six aces, 19 kills and nine digs; Evie Morrison added two aces, three assists, 11 kills and seven digs; and Sha’Na Adams chipped in one ace, 36 assists, two kills and two digs. The Bulldogs are now 4-0.

For the Cougars (2-3), Alexis Pattyson had five kills, two aces and five points; Mia Fanara and Jazmin Debo both had eight digs; and Melanie Miles was credited with seven assists.
