Frewsburg Pulls Away From Silver Creek/Forestville

FREWSBURG — Three second-half goals sent Frewsburg to a 3-0 victory over Silver Creek/Forestville in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 girls soccer game Wednesday.

Jaden Jimerson opened the scoring in the 58th minute while Audrey Eckwahl scored in the 66th and 69th minutes for the Bears (2-1-0, 1-0-0). Riley Hawley picked up an assist on the final goal.

Eliza Mahaney stopped 20 of 23 shots for the Black Knights (2-1-0, 0-1-0).

RANDOLPH ROLLS

FRANKLINVILLE — Behind four goals and two assists from Gianna Bowles, and a hat trick from Serena Smith, Randolph defeated Franklinville in a Division 2 game.

Ava Sears added three assists, Jenna Anderson and Erin Little both collected a goal and Jade Miller was credited with an assist in support of winning goalie Harper Russell, who made two saves.

The Cardinals improved to 3-1-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the division, while the Panthers dropped to 0-2-0 and 0-1-0.

EAGLES SOAR TO WIN

SOUTH DAYTON — Eleven players were credited with at least one point in Ellicottville’s 11-0 Division 2 victory over Pine Valley/Gowanda.

Leading the way for the Eagles (2-1-0, 1-0-0) were Dlaney Myers (three goals, one assist), Juliana O’Connell (two goals), Juleana Lyon (one goal, one assist), Ainsley Edwards (one goal, one assist) and Bianca Bush (one goal, one assist). Also contributing to the strong offensive effort were Eliza Murray (one goal), Camerie Riley (one goal), Ava Fuller (one goal), and Olivia Tighe (one assist), Ella Weber (one assist) and Cayda Kruszynski (one assist) in support of keeper Ady Andrews.

The Panthers fell to 0-4-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the league.

JAMESTOWN TIES HUSKIES

OLEAN — Addison Crosson’s second goal of the game, coming in the 78th minute, helped Olean salvage a 2-2 tie with Jamestown in Division 1 action.

The Red & Green (0-3-1, 0-2-1) took a 1-0 lead early in the second half when Anna Engquist scored from Payton Gibbs.

The Huskies (0-4-1, 0-2-1) tied the game on Crosson’s first of the night.

Jamestown took a 2-1 lead midway through the second half when Kinsley Berg scored from Brielle Berg, but Olean tied it late and held on through two 10-minute overtimes.

“We worked in practice on not allowing the ball past midfield. The girls played great and stayed positive,” Jamestown head coach Jason Kathman said. “It can be frustrating not coming out on top, but the girls are excited about the progress we’ve shown over the course of four games so far.”

BALANCED ATTACK FOR WARRIORS

SALAMANCA — Three different goal scorers helped Salamanca trim Cattaraugus-Little Valley 3-2 in Division 2 play.

Addy Earley, Eloise Brown and Brielle Massagli each scored a goal while Earley, Mya Galante and Ireland Fidurko each had an assist for the Warriors (1-3-0, 1-0-0). Kendra Bova Redeye made five saves in net.

For the Timberwolves (1-3-0, 0-1-0), Talon Bramer and Rebekah Butcher each scored a goal while Emma West made eight saves in goal.

BOYS

MARAUDERS ROLL

SILVER CREEK — Anthony Bautista had two goals and two assists as Dunkirk shut out nonleague Silver Creek/Forestville 7-0.

Brady Dobek also had two goals while Victor Millan, Josh Lemanski and Danial Mahbas each added a goal for the Marauders (3-2-0). Naisaih Rodriguez had two assists and Alex Biscaro chipped in one.

The Black Knights fell to 3-2-0 overall.
