Freeman, Swanson Connect For Hat Tricks In Boys Action

RANDOLPH — Cooper Freeman netted another hat trick as Randolph beat Southwestern 6-1 in nonleague boys soccer play Thursday.

Freeman scored from Gavin Senn in the 12th minute, scored on a penalty kick in the 21st minute, and scored from Nathan Zink in the 70th minute for the Cardinals (4-1-0).

Slade scored from Isaac Pihlblad in the 27th minute and also scored unassisted in the 40th minute before Pihlblad scored unassisted in the 74th minute.

Randall Nottingham made one save for Randolph and Cooper Charles made 10 saves for Southwestern (1-3-0).

Matthew Persia scored for the Trojans in the ninth minute.

SWANSON NETS HAT TRICK

WESTFIELD — Braylon Swanson completed a second-half hat trick as Westfield/Brocton beat nonleague Cassadaga Valley/Falconer 6-1.

Caleb Stoughton scored from Parker Gambino in the 39th minute as the Wolverines (3-2-0) led 1-0 at halftime.

After the break, Logan Baum scored from Gambino and Anthony Gatto scored from Caleb Freifeld before Swanson scored three straight goals, two from Gatto and one from Ayden Reese.

Matthew Farmer scored from Hunter Hattaway for the Golden Cougars (1-4-0).
