OLEAN — The Fredonia girls tennis team swept singles and won a pair of doubles matches to defeat Olean 4-1 and clinched the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 title on Thursday evening.

Nella Darrell-Sterbak and Charis LaBarr both posted singles victories for the Hillbillies (11-1, 8-0), while the tandem of Rosie Manzella and Elizabeth Joy and the pair of Amelia Way and Hazel Daly-Griffen grinded to doubles victories.

Olean picked up a win at third doubles as Tiana Maine and Giana Baglione won in three sets.

Emma Prey, Betsy Leyva and Sage Huff posted singles victories for the Warriors (1-9-1, 1-5-1), while the duo of Morgan Palmer and Fiona McKune won second doubles.

Jamestown (2-7, 2-5) earned a hard-fought victory in first doubles from Gabrielle Seekins and Amaya Thompson.
