Cummins, Trinity/GCFCU Lead Battle

Large Division competitor Cummins (640 points) and Small Division Trinity Biotech/Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union (490 points) are the current leaders in the 37th annual YMCA Battle of the Businesses after Monday’s events.
For the Large Division, the following are the first-place event finishers: softball (Cummins), disc golf (SKF USA), men’s nine-hole golf (Cummins), women’s nine-hole golf (Chautauqua County Government), men’s bowling (SKF USA), women’s bowling (The Resource Center) and curling (Falconer Central Schools).
In the Small Division, the top event winners are as follows: softball (Children’s Educational Services/Rehabilitation Specialists), disc golf (Trinity Biotech/Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union), nine-hole golf (Trinity/GCFCU), bowling (CES/Rehabilitation Specialists) and coed volleyball (Trinity/GCFCU).
Today’s events include Large Division volleyball at the Jamestown YMCA at 6 p.m. and Small Division stones at Southern Tier Brewery’s Brewers Hollow at 5 p.m. Participants are reminded to wear their team T-shirts and take photos of each event participants for future awards.
Organizers would like to thank Battle venues at Bergman Park, Jones and Gifford Park, Jamestown YMCA, Northwest Arena, Maplehurst Country Club, Jamestown Bowling Company, Brewers Hollow, Gold Star Building, Wicked Warrens-Jamestown, Haggy’s Hatchet House, Lakewood YMCA and Hartley Park.
