Cassadaga Valley Rallies Past Sherman In 5 Sets
SINCLAIRVILLE — Madi Debo scored five kills, five aces, 14 service points, three blocks and nine digs as Cassadaga Valley rallied past Sherman 24-26, 23-25, 25-18, 27-25, 15-12 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 4 volleyball action on Thursday.
Payton Meder made four kills, three aces, four service points and three blocks for the Cougars (5-4, 3-1), Melanie Myles provided six aces, 16 service points, eight kills and 24 assists, Adrianna Myers also had 16 service points along with 14 digs and Lexi Pattyson contributed 19 kills.
Sherman (2-7, 2-2) was led by Emmersen Crawford with two aces, 10 kills and five blocks, Madison Emory had five aces, three kills and two digs, Kaylee Pinzok made an ace, four digs and 20 assists and Jayne Chambers provided an ace, three kills and two blocks.
BULLDOGS HOLD OFF PANAMA
PANAMA — Evie Morrison scored 18 kills, 11 assists, one block, 13 digs and two aces as Brocton held off a Panama rally in five sets of Division 3 action, 25-22, 25-22, 22-25, 26-28, 15-6.
Zoe Spiller provided another 18 kills, an assist, three blocks, nine digs and three aces for Brocton (6-1, 2-1), Grace Lundin had six kills, one assist, 25 digs and eight aces and Sha’nah Adams made 32 assists, one block, 12 digs and an ace.
Panama (4-6, 0-2) was led by Kiera Loberg with four kills and 22 assists, McKenna Kolstee had eight kills, Lily Hyde contributed eight kills and 10 digs and Annie Becker made seven kills and 13 digs.
HORNETS SWEEP PINE VALLEY
FORESTVILLE — Iris Muck scored seven kills, two blocks and two aces to lead Forestville past Pine Valley 25-21, 25-21, 25-22 in Division 4 action.
Elizabeth Case added three aces and four assists for the Hornets (2-4, 2-2), Anna Gilman had three kills and an ace and Madison Hall contributed four kills.
Pine Valley (0-9, 0-4) was led by Sandy Ivett with seven kills, one ace and two digs, Breanna Snyder made 19 digs, Ava West had three kills, one assist, one ace and 10 digs and Madilynn Robertson made one kill and 12 assists.
The Forestville jayvees won 2-1.
PIRATES SWEEP
CLYMER — Mikaela Jackson scored six aces, two blocks, four kills and an assist as Clymer swept North Collins 25-19, 25-13, 25-13 in Division 4.
Harleigh Faulkner made four digs, five kills and an ace for Clymer (5-4, 4-0), Finley Mitchell provided three kills, three aces and two digs and both Addie Wiggers and Maiya Dunnewold contributed nine assists.
North Collins falls to 1-8 overall and 1-4 in league.
TROJANS FALL TO GATORS
Allegany-Limestone swept Southwestern 25-19, 25-17, 25-16 in Division 1.
Madi Burnett led the Southwestern (4-5, 2-4) effort with six kills, four blocks and an ace, Gianna Sirianni made nine digs and Elise Kartesz had two aces, a block, nine digs and 12 assists.
Allegany-Limestone improved to 7-2 overall and 5-2 in league with the victory.
EAGLES EDGE GOWANDA
GOWANDA — Kinslee Motter scored 16 kills, four assists, an ace, four digs and a block as Chautauqua Lake defeated Gowanda 25-23, 17-25, 25-15, 25-11 in nonleague play.
Brina Jacobson added seven kills and 15 digs for the Eagles (7-1), Sydney Williams had three kills, five aces and six digs and Makenna Smith made nine digs and four aces.
Gowanda (7-1, 6-0 D2) was led by Bella Maines with 26 assists and eight digs, Corrina John provided two aces, five blocks, 13 kills and six digs, Addison Kota had an ace, an assist, seven kills and eight digs, Nina Moses made an ace and 10 digs, Envy Cross contributed six blocks, three kills and two digs and Aubrey Smuda added nine digs.
